Housing Types Explained
We recommend that students narrow their search by style of housing, price, and location, and then touring at least 3 properties before making a decision.
Collegiate Housing
This type of housing is individually leased by private bedroom and bathroom; however, students will share common areas. They are typically furnished and include electric, cable, water, high speed internet, and local phone (these options vary by complex). They are on 12 month leases, and most properties include the option to sublease. Individual complexes offer a variety of amenities. This type of housing usually requires a co-signer, but the different properties vary in policy.
Traditional Housing
This type of housing is standard 6-12 month lease (some complexes offer other lease terms), and may or may not include some bills like water or cable. They usually arenŐt furnished, and if you have a roommate, they will be on the same lease.
